Digital Media Manager

UnityWorks Media has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media Manager to join their Minneapolis team!

Position Overview

The Digital Media Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of UnityWorks digital advertising accounts and the Media Operations team. This will require daily interaction with our internal teams such as sales, account management, and content production to plan, execute, measure, and optimize digital advertising initiatives for our clients. 

This role is a multi-disciplinary role blending elements of ad technology, process & policy management, and people management.  Day-to-day functions include understanding client goals and KPIs relative to inventory availability and capability of media providers and platforms. Previous agency and programmatic platform experience is mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy, planning, performance evaluation, and optimization across media channels using best-in-class partners and platforms
  • Initiate and foster strong relationships with publishers, data providers, and other third party partners 
  • Setup and flighting of programmatic digital insertion orders across multiple platforms/channels (Doubleclick, Facebook, TrueView, Google Analytics etc);
  • Facilitate campaign creative approvals, setup, and campaign implementation including channel/platform recommendations
  • Develop and recommend scalable audience targeting criteria, placements, bid rules, weight, scheduling, and reach frequency goals
  • Create, maintain and present weekly and monthly campaign status and metrics
  • Proactively troubleshoot delivery and technical issues to ensure meeting highest delivery standards
  • Create best practices, standards, and guidelines for ad ops team, from insertion order creation to launching campaigns and the management of all processes. 
  • Collaborate with internal account teams for day-to-day management of media campaigns including providing campaign performance projections
  • Manage staff performance to meet or exceed internal and external client expectations


  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year university, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Media Operations
  • Minimum 4 years of experience managing a team
  • Extensive trafficking experience with Doubleclick, Facebook, and other online advertising platforms
  • Familiarity with the online advertising ecosystem; different ad technology stacks and vendors and how they fit into the digital advertising ecosystem
  • Understanding and experience with latest creative types (e.g. rich media, DCO, mobile and video) and standard industry tracking and measurement tools (e.g. viewability, verification, brand study)
