Scrum Master

Autodata Solutions is looking for a Scrum Master to join our growing team!!

Position Overview

The candidate for this position will act as a Scrum Master for the Product organization which has multiple Scrum teams that are at varying levels of Agile maturity. The candidate must be able to perform the duties of a Scrum Master for one to three product teams. The candidate will be responsible for implementing Agile best practices in all assigned Scrum teams and will also be responsible for working with stakeholder organizational leaders to ensure that individual team activities are aligned with overall program objectives. The candidate will be an experienced Scrum Master who has a positive servant leader attitude and experience with multiple teams in Product oriented settings.  The candidate will be a dynamic and effective coach capable of leading Agile teams in the delivery of high-quality solutions while emphasizing collaboration, team self-management and ensuring flexibility to adapt to the Agile principles that will achieve the business goals of Autodata Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the team and the organization on how to use Scrum practices and values to the delight of our customers
  • Guide the team on how to get the most out of self-organization
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and the organization
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and distributing information
  • Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
  • Facilitate daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, review, retrospective, and backlog grooming meetings with technical teams
  • Provide input to release planning using team capacity and skill set information
  • Compile, analyze and present statistics about time estimation accuracy, team velocity and burndown rate to development team and management each sprint
  • Support Scrum of Scrum reporting and planning, focusing on integration of scrum team schedules and work products
  • Communicate team progress and dependencies with other team leads during scrum of scrums
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems and conflicts can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of Scrum experience in a Scrum Master capacity
  • Scrum Master Certification with experience coaching inexperienced Scrum teams
  • Must have experience with common and complex Agile practices, software development environments and industry best practices
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques – Automated Testing, User Stories, Continuous Integration, and Testing
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience managing complex software development teams
  • Must have experience with common tools such as Jira or Rally
  • Experience must include configuration of tools and coaching teams on the proper use of the tools.
  • Must have good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with a high comfort level presenting to a variety of audiences including senior management
  • Strong team management and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
